From the 6ix, hails the velvety-voiced Savannah Ré.
The Toronto-based soulful singer has proven time and again that she paves her own unique way into the R’n’B scene, and the success she’s had this past year is quite the confirmation.
How different would the rhythm and blues singer’s life be if she wasn’t pushed on-stage at an open mic night, and hadn’t caught the eye of music producer and singer Babyface?

From then, she went on to be the opening act on several tour dates for yet another Toronto native, the one-and-only Jessie Reyez, for the headliner’s second EP Being Human in Public. She later signed with Boi-1da’s music label, Universal Music Canada. Ré’s also put out her own debut EP Opia, in November 2020, after releasing her single “Solid.”
In 2021, she was nominated for the Prism Prize for Opia videos, “Solid” and “Opia-Experience.”
Ré also made music history at the JUNO awards recently, as she is the first artist to be nominated for both the Contemporary R&B Recording of the Year and the Traditional R&B/Soul Recording of the Year. The latter was the prize the singer took home for her beautiful love ballad, “Solid.”
And now, I believe we got another hit-maker on our hands.
Following the success of “Solid,” one can only assume the singer has written us another love ballad to make us wish to find such devotion in our lifetime. And we would be right.
On June 9th, Ré’s newest single “24hrs” graces our eardrums; a soulful love song oozing dedication, unconditional and timelessness. Produced by YogiTheProducer (known for his work with artists like Kehlani and Jessie Reyez) and adamjosh, the beautiful mix of Ré’s vocals, the strum of a guitar, the R&B beats is a warm caress. A promise of love, and truthfulness —something Ré seems to pull off effortlessly every chance she gets.
“24hrs baby, 24hrs is not enough of you
Love you everyday, love you now, I’m here to stay."
